When Joel Steele first brought his booming laugh and thirst for adventure to the Never Boring office in 2011, we instantly knew he was a keeper. As the Director of our Film & Multimedia department, Joel is an absolute powerhouse who handily manages meetings, puts out fires, codes web sites and busts out some serious lens work, all before the rest of us have managed to down our first cups of coffee.
A SoCal native who has only recently migrated to Modesto, Joel is armed with a quick wit honed by his background in improv comedy and a contagious passion for all things film. He is a master at both keeping coworkers laughing their stress away and keeping clients floored by his skills.
What work of art inspires you?
I’m continually inspired and amazed by the things that people are doing with independent film. In the art world, I love the work of Shag and Vladimir Kush.
Hobbies:
One of my main hobbies is film but my friends all know me as the event planner. I love to organize strange, exciting outings with people I enjoy. For example, I once organized a small group to spend the night in the most haunted room in the most haunted hotel in California. I love that stuff!
How are you Never Boring?
I treat every day like an adventure, and I love to find new and exciting experiences. You only live once and I’m making the most of it. Even if something is expensive, if it’s unique and exciting I’ll always do it, because how much more are those memories worth!
